Tell Me Something Good

A blog of an eighteen year old girl discovering, ranting and contemplating.
A tiny girl who has a lot on her mind and has a lot to say.
Some times she doesn't think, some times she over thinks.
You never know, she just might tell you something good.

Dream to live, and live to believe. Only hope can save us.

Blogging

I've slacked in my blogging duties. Simply because I'm starting to get busy and any free time that I have, I end up being a lazy sloth. However, I'm going to make an earnest effort to blog more.

Updatesssss.
TRANSCRIPT IS FIXEDEDEDEDEDEDED! This pleases me so.
Photography is starting to turn into a small business, which also pleases me.
I'm pushing myself to finish vocal coaching so I can update to advance singing, woo!
Oh yeah, I'm accepted at Capilano U. :D

Anyways, I've learned quite a bit over past few weeks. Whether it's simply growing up or I'm finally coming to my senses. I've taken a new outlook on my life.

... I promise I'll finish that tomorrow, I'm sleepy and need to go to bed. However, my insomnia is back so we'll see how well that goes tonight.

Practice

I'm a photographer... but I want to be a singer. As much as it may seem as a fantasy, it's a dream that I'll not give it up. However, my passion burns, yet I ignore the urge to practice. I constantly plan shoots to become a better photographer, but that's not where my heart is. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that God has gifted me. However, I know there is another calling that I'm ignoring. Some people don't understand, it's easier for me to take pictures. Singing practice with my coach is an hour and forty-five minutes everyday, just on vocal exercises alone. Then, followed by an hour of singing. Considering, all I get to do is sit and make strange noises. There is a lot to do, and not many people get that. I'm frustrated, as I've made so much progress as a musician that I don't use it as motivation to grow. God has given the opportunity to have an amazing coach. I need to see it as a blessing and then turn it into a passion burning fervently. I have 5 months before I head to University. 5 months to master something that I was supposed to finish in the matter of 6 months back in June 2008. 5 months before I can even venture into the idea of starting a band.

I will push myself.
I will practice.
I will not give up.
I need to stop procrastination.
I need to get my priorities right.

Seattle

The infamous trip involved: getting lost on the highway, eating Chipotle for the first time, buying clothes, all you can eat buffets, being guest listed, watching a show side stage, making new friends, dinner with Jeffree Star and hugs. lots of hugs. i like hugs. :]

Character Quiz?

First off, these are absolutely pointless. However, cause they do compare your personality to a literary piece... I was intrigued. I also find the description very accurate. Especially the compassion thing. Every time I see an elder, someone suffered with development issues, someone poor, someone with heart ache, people without jobs, kids without fathers/mothers. This list goes on, so I won't bother you with it.

You are Alice, from Lewis Carroll's timeless masterpiece. You're an inquisitive person with a great sense of empathy and compassion. You have a deep, but quiet, love for others, especially the less fortunate. Some might criticize you for being headstrong, but most see your boldness as an endearing quality. You don't always fit in with the rest of society, but you follow your heart, and you have a good head on your shoulders. Although you occasionally have to struggle to find your place in the world, you never compromise your integrity. You are who you are, love it or leave it.

Hair

I want something new, something edgy. Nothing trendy like scene side-bangs or blonde highlights. I have 3 narrowed down. Just give input or whatever, cause I'm confused.

First off: my normal long hair. same length but some layers in.

second: same length, maybe some layers and bangs in the front.

third: same length, layers and side bangs.

Also, got to love the power of photoshop. :D

Another Run-Around

Of course my trip to get my ID came to stop, as again I don't have secondary ID. So, we're getting my health card mailed which may take up to ten days. Side note, Seattle is in 13 days. After that, it's a passport struggle. I'll have to pay express, but I need a valid reason. The reason also needs to be approved by the passport officer, so if they decide no... I'm stuck. My whole summer has revolved around this Seattle trip. If I can't, I'll seriously be heart broken. I've been so excited for this since the concert date was mentioned.

I messaged one of the band members if they could email me a statement, as to way I need to be there. :D

Prayer, prayer, prayer. I can't do anything else but I'm praying God sort it out. I will admit, it is my fault for not getting my documents faster. I just got caught up with summer and forgot. I'm just really praying it all works and I'll be able to go.

There's No Real Title For This

I had my nose pierced when I was 11, yes 11, while in Fiji. Took it out after I got really sick andwasn't allowed to put it back in. Well, now is the time that I will be getting it re-pierced.

Pictureee of how it many look.

Also, I have prayer requests. I'm having problems with my passport being accepted as I don't have any other picture ID to verify. I'm going tomorrow to get my Enhanced Driver's License. Prayer that even though I don't have it, that they will make an exception. Prayer also for my grades regarding the transcript.

Where to Start?

I haven't blogged for a few weeks, as some of you may have noticed. The excuses either range from 'Eh, not in the mood' or simply 'Where do I even start?' There's been a lot of ups and downs the past few weeks. My grades for school messed up, and the government failed me for 2 courses. Which baffles my teachers as I had very good marks in those classes. Then, my transcript is missing my grades for Math 11, History 12, Marketing, Entre, Geography, Math 12 and French. I can't even apply for CapU until that's figured out. Prayers are appreciated regarding this.

Also: financially, socially, physically and mentally... frick. I don't know what to do anymore. Maybe God will carry some wisdom through the melodies of Matt Thiessen, Bryce Avary or Jon Foreman.

I'll elaborate more on the next blog.

PS. BOYS ARE STUPID CREATURES.

Gory death = Wakefield
Sad death = Trish, Sully, Danny
Emotional death = Henry

Killer revealed = Henry
Wakefield's Child = Henry

So, I was kinda right. I was thinking it was Henry until someone mentioned that it may not be the same person.

BUT YAY ABBY AND JIMMY!

I want this show on dvd as soon as it comes out.

harper's island: ignore

if you watch the show. let me know. :D
if you don't ignore this post.

Survivors as of Ep 11: Danny, Sully, Shea, Madison, Trish, Henry, Abby and Jimmy. oh and that creep Wakefield.

Someone had this on the discussion, and it's pretty much copy and paste cause I agree.

Gory death = Danny or Wakefield
Sad death = Trish
Emotional death = Jimmy (I really really don't want this to happen, but I think it's inevitable)

Killer revealed = Henry or Sully or Madison
Wakefield's Child = Henry

I have no idea who is going to survive. But i just want Abby and Jimmy to live. <3
____________

*EDIT*

Accomplice: Sully or Madison
Child: Henry

Summer Reading List

I mentioned in the beginning of the year about starting a reading list of 25 or 50 books? Obviously as I don't remember the number, I haven't read any. Well, know that I am a free grad, I have a lot of free time, until I find a job. Haha, I double checked, and it's 25 for the year and I want to cram 15 in 2-3 months? HAHA. Oh well, I'll try.

Oh, The Things We Do

... Especially when we are bored.

I'm so used to being so jammed pack with school work seven days a week, that this new freedom is somewhat frustrating. What would usually be a Saturday night of studying is now me painting my nails.

HAVE A LOOKSIE! I like 'em. They were originally a bright orange, then I put some gold on top... followed by a decision to do black french tips.

???

For some silly reason, my summer to-do list is on June 14th? Little weird, and it won't let me delete it.

So I'll be a n00b and double post.

Because I will be free for the next few months, I'd thought I'd make a to-do for the summer. Anything from what I need to do, to what I want to do. Should be a fun summer.

1) GET PASSPORT RENEWED
2) Apply for Capilano University
3) Have at least 20 photoshoots
4) FINALLY finish music theory
5) Finish vocal coaching with Brett Manning
6) Have a somewhat distinguished vinyl collection
5) Video chats with William, Andrea and Brent.
6) Video chat with Jennifer
7) Get a job, or two?
8) Give my room, a full-clean out.
9) Travel somewhere I've never been.
10) East sushi by the Lynn Canyon waterfall
11) Have a day of epic proportions with Clarissa
12) GET MY FRICKEN WISDOM TEETH REMOVED. D:
13) Figure out Garageband and record some music
14) Go to Seattle to see Let's Get It
15) Read books, LOTS OF BOOKS

Alright, I had better intentions with this list, but it seems like my mind as gone blank

Time to Grow Up

I don't want to post the whole situation up on here.

It's quite sad when you go out of your way to make someone's last week the best it can be. Only to be shot down, talked behind your back, have your 'best friend' say rude things about you while you sit next them (thinking you can't hear them) and then to be deleted off facebook.

Seriously. Really, are people this immature? Are they that pathetic, that they need to treat people like this? It's about time people grew up. I'm happy I'm leaving that school, good riddance. Breaks my heart how Christians can not show love to one another when above all, Jesus even said it is the great of the commandments in the Bible. If this is how we treat each other, how do we expect to love the world and to minister to those with broken heart? If you can not love, you are nothing.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

Haha, Oops.

Didn't do so well on the tests, as I thought.
I tried my hardest, regardless of the circumstances I passed?
Who knows, I'm praying to God that he'll keep the mark up to let me graduate.

Dear Calculus,
  YOU SUCK.

Love,
