Proverbs 2
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it

Those who seek after the wisdom of God; he will watch over you. wisdom is something that can save you from your darkest times. It is also God that will ultimately save you. Wisdom is not only knowledge; it is your guide, mentor, spiritual growth and most importantly your shield. Wisdom is not only in your mind, it is evident through our actions. Our words are the most powerful and destructive tools we can use. It can lead both to mental, emotional and physical distress. Why I say physical is you can openly mock someone, emotionally they are hurt and physically they will hurt themselves. Our words are not only in the moment, they can live on for years causing the same pain that it did the first time. Words are destructive, they cause far more damage than we can comprehend. With wisdom we can use our words to heal, nurture and love. That is what we are called to do in our lives as Christians. Show love to those around us through our words and actions. Only through wisdom will we use the right actions and words to have a positive impact.
Wisdom will protect you from your very death as this chapter tells us. Making the wrong decisions will dig our graves. The actions that can lead us down that very path are disguised. As 'alien women with flattering words,' aka girls who are flirts. For the girls: in a very attractive, promising boy ... there can be trouble. Simple words can lead you astray. But how do we make sure that we make the right decisions? Through wisdom we can see the opportunities that can take us down. Our conscious, a gift from God, is meant to protect us from the death, turmoil and trouble that awaits for us in the dark.
Stay in tune with God. His wisdom will guide you among the story line that is your life. Give him the chance, give him the glory. This chance will bring you wisdom and life.
After all... who wants a autobiography with a tragic ending?
