i had one 1-2 that lasted from 12:30 past 2.
and another just now.
at school i used a whole box of Kleenex's.

about 4 years ago my dad got these insane nosebleeds, too. and he lost horrid amounts of blood. long story short, the doctors couldn't figure out anything decisive. I'm sorry, girl. <3
but, I do happen to know that gauze is more effective than tissues.
